Public transport works well when you travel light, when you start near a station and when your schedule is flexible. A private driver works well when the opposite is true.
Here are the four questions we suggest you ask yourself.
Question 1: how much luggage do you carry?
With a cabin bag, a train is easy. With several suitcases, connections and stairs add up quickly. A driver loads and unloads for you and drops you at the terminal.
Very large or awkward items are worth mentioning when you book, so we send a vehicle with enough room. Our fleet includes estates, minivans and vans.
Question 2: how many people travel together?
For one person, public transport is often the cheapest option. For a family or a group of three or four, one car shared between everyone can be competitive, and it is far more comfortable.

For an early flight, check the first departures of the train or bus before you count on them. If the first service is too late for your check-in time, a taxi is the practical answer. The same goes for a late arrival when services have stopped.
Public transport timetables change, so check them close to your travel date on the official operators' websites.
Question 4: where do you start from?
