Most last-minute problems at the airport start the night before: a missing document, a bag over the limit, a pickup time nobody confirmed. All of them are easy to fix in the evening and hard to fix at 5 a.m.

Documents and bookings
Check that your passport or identity card is valid for your destination, and that your boarding pass or booking reference is easy to find. Rules differ by country, so check the official requirements for your destination.
Note your flight number and terminal information, and keep your driver's contact details next to it.
Luggage
Weigh your bags at home if you can. Airlines set their own weight and size limits, and the check is done at the desk. Keep liquids and valuables in your cabin bag, following the airline's and airport's security rules on the Brussels Airport website.
